We contacted you last year regarding a new worldwide support group network. As of today, we 126 support group members in 61 different countries. We are re-sending our introduction. We hope you will consider joining this worldwide effort to increase communication regarding scientific efforts in understanding and treating autism.

Our organization, the Autism Research Institute (ARI), was established by Dr. Bernard Rimland and is the oldest autism research organization in the world. Throughout our 54-year history, we have established and maintained networks (1) to support the scientific investigation, (2) to inform the healthcare community about evidence-based best practices, and (3) to distribute up-to-date information to the entire autism community.

We are focusing much of our efforts on providing evidence-based information about research and treatment effectiveness through online lectures and conferences, discussion groups, and informative articles.

There is no cost to join this program.

If you would like to learn more about ARI's new network program, please read the attached letter. We have also attached a complimentary copy of our science newsletter.

We invite you to complete our online membership form at: www.GlobalAutismNetwork.com

The Autism Research Institute (ARI) was established in 1967 and is the oldest autism research
organization
in the world. Its founder, Dr. Bernard Rimland, was a pioneering researcher, and he is credited
with changing the field from viewing autism as a result of neglectful parents to an underlying
biological condition. He was also the founder of the Autism Society of America and the head
consultant for the movie Rain Man.
We are currently introducing ourselves to support groups worldwide and informing them of our new
outreach program. Throughout our 54-year history, we have established and maintained networks (1)
to support scientific investigation, (2) to inform the healthcare community about evidence-based
best practice, and (3) to distribute up-to-date information to the entire autism community.
Starting later this year, we will focus much of our efforts on providing evidence-based information
about research and treatment effectiveness through online lectures and conferences, discussion
groups, and informative articles.
We are also asking network groups to help us recruit interested researchers and healthcare
professionals in their community to learn about various medical conditions and treatments often
associated with autism.
This includes anxiety, gastrointestinal disease, immune and metabolic dysregulation, neurological
disorders, sleep problems, and much more.
As part of our collaboration, we will also send your organization a complimentary subscription to
our science newsletter titled the Autism Research Review International (ARRI). You are welcome to
translate one or more articles and share them with your membership. The newsletter provides a
summary of the most recent and relevant studies on behavioral challenges, co-occurring medical
conditions, education, gastrointestinal disease, immunology, metabolism, neurological disorders,
nutrition, sensory processing, and more.
There is no cost to join this program.
If you are interested in participating in ARI’s global network, please complete the membership form
located at: GlobalAutismNetwork.com
We have also attached a copy of the ARRI science newsletter.
